My Review:

‘What. Did. I. Just. Watched?’- that is what I asked myself after watching Bliss. It is so good yet so bad. It will leave you breathless from the very start. This is the kind of movie that will leave a mark on you after watching it.
Jerrold Tarog (previous movie: Heneral Luna) does execute the film in a way that people will be intrigued as to where the story will go. He gave clues from here and there, carefully avoiding to give it all at once. He created puzzle pieces that forms a huge and clear message as to what he wants to say.
Up until now, I still remember the scenes. It is disturbing to watch a girl masturbating in front of a mirror, but it is more disturbing to know her backstory. It is eyebrow raising to watch the nudity on the film, but it is more shocking to know who and what is the reason why it happened. It does not have any jump scares like the usual films we know, but this movie will creep you under your skin. Bliss is a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable Filipino film for me.

Just to Sum It up:

-Bliss is a one of a kind, unforgettable Filipino film that is unsettling but satisfying to watch.
