Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Movie Review: Marvel Shows No Signs of Slowing Down

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Directed by: James Gunn
Starring: Vin Diesel, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana

Awesomeness Rating: 85%

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a very good addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It offers something unique and does set expectations. Though different from the first movie wherein the storyline is focused on their introductions, this movie sets the bar high, leaving you wanting for more awesome sequels to come.

This is both visually entertaining and emotionally driven movie. It will teach you life lessons about family, friendship and love. You will also love the characters and will understand them even more. You will enjoy the soundtracks this movie has to offer.

I cannot see Marvel Studious struggling in creating awesome and unique film. I can see however, that they still has a lot of things to offer for their avid audience and fans. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 proved that Marvel is still in it's prime.

The storyline is structured in an organized pattern wherein you will get to know more about the characters first before knowing what they're battling with. The movie is leveraging itself as the story progresses, making it more interesting to watch.

I really love the opening fight scene. I love Groot's scene. I love how colorful it really is. It is really pleasing to the eye.

The area of opportunity for this movie are their makeup design. There are times wherein characters like Gamora and Nebula are losing their facial make-ups, revealing their brown skin in small patches. There are times too that the movie is sometimes going too slow primarily in the first phase of the story. But these are minor missed opportunities. Overall, this is an 'Awesome!' film.

-Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is another high quality Marvel film that you shouldn't miss.
